February 2013

When I started this blog, I wanted solsticesisters to be a place where I could write about topics that I thought would be of interest to women.  I still have the same intent, but in addition to my musings, I want to focus on a few specific areas (at least for the remainder of 2013).  I’ve decided on the following three major categories.

Coming soon…

  • Letters to My Husband—a peek into married life from my perspective.
  • Dating Tips—advice for singles and even those trying to stay married.
  • Adventures in Detoxing—my journey to cleaner products.

July 2012

Friendships with women have always been a bit tricky for me.  Let me be the first to admit that I’ve experienced more failures than successes, but I’ve gotten better in recent years.  I can finally say that I have lifetime friendships with a few fascinating women.  Now, I’m ready for my circle of friends to grow.  At the same time, I want to help other women connect to each other.

I’m an introvert with extrovert tendencies.

I find myself reaching out in ways that I never would have before.  I’ve always been a private person.  Starting this blog is not something that I ever thought I’d do, but here I am.  I am always amazed by how much can be shared and learned when the right atmosphere is created.    My goal is to create an atmosphere where women make meaningful connections.  I hope that you’ll find solsticesisters to be inviting and engaging.

Let me know what you think and feel.

The rules are simple:  be open, be honest, and above all–be forgiving.  I’m going to write about my thoughts, feels, ideas, and experiences.  I expect that sometimes you’ll relate and other times you won’t.  You never know who you might meet or what kinds of discussions might be going on here.
